Representatives and technical staff from Tajikistan’s state-owned telecommunications companies, Tojiktelecom and Telecom Zehn, visited the Passwordless Alliance, completed passwordless security training, and returned home. During their visit, the delegation received theoretical training on the international standard Passwordless X.1280 authentication technology, as well as training on implementing the Passwordless X1280 software—which can be used free of charge in B2C/G2C services—and hands-on training on implementing AutoPassword, which can be sold to corporate employees.
This visit extended beyond technical training to foster business cooperation. Telecom Zehn joined the Passwordless Alliance as a technical member to promote the ITU-T X.1280 standard in Tajikistan and the wider Central Asian region, and signed a business cooperation agreement with South Korea’s DualAuth for enterprise-level passwordless solutions.
Tojiktelecom also announced follow-up plans for this collaboration. The company revealed plans to hold Passwordless X1280 training events in Tajikistan and to implement Passwordless X1280 in G2C government services. Furthermore, it plans to localize AutoPassword for the telecom operator’s proprietary B2B business and resell it to the public and corporate markets.
In a press release, Tojiktelecom stated, “Our collaboration with the Passwordless Alliance is not merely theoretical technical training, but an effort that contributes to strengthening the digital security of the entire nation.”
The Passwordless Alliance plans to continue providing local training and technical support in collaboration with Telecom Zehn to ensure this partnership serves as a practical example of applying international standard technologies in the field across various countries.
